As part of our commitment to industry wide customer service, the IICRC actively pursues relationships with fiber producers, carpet and fabric mills, furnishing retailers and equipment and chemical manufacturers and suppliers. The use of IICRC-certified service professionals is specified in leading manufacturers' maintenance brochures and warranties.
Standards Backed By ANSI
As an ANSI-accredited standard development organization, the IICRC has also led the way in establishing the main industry standard and reference guides for professional carpet cleaning, upholstery and fabric cleaning, water damage restoration, mould remediation and inspection of textile floor coverings.
The IICRC works with other organizations to increase awareness of certified firms – from companies like Shaw, which requires warranty work be done by an IICRC Certified Firm, to associations, to government officials. Additionally, the IICRC also partners with the American Home Furnishings Alliance (AHFA) to include a suggestion for use of IICRC Certified Firms that specialize in upholstery cleaning in its Furniture Care Codes.
