ServiceMaster Restore of Vancouver is a full service disaster restoration company that provides emergency restoration services, construction, contents cleaning, mold removal and other Bio-Hazard services to Insurance Professionals and Property Managers for both commercial and residential properties. We are individually owned and operated, but are part of the ServiceMaster Canada franchise network. Our franchise services Vancouver and the lower mainland.

After changing ownership in 2005, we have rapidly expanded to a 40,000 sq. ft. facility centrally located in Burnaby. Our facility houses a state-of-the-art warehouse, storage, office and contents area. To better service the Surrey and Langley areas we recently opened up a new location in Surrey. We now have the capabilities and qualifications to now handle any size property loss.

We offer a two-year guarantee on our workmanship and our Project Manager's and Technicians take pride in providing clients with clear communication every step of the way. You will also receive a step-by-step Resource Guide, Schedule, Claim Flow Chart and other information that cover in detail the process of an emergency and structure repairs.

Derek Drisdelle

Director of Operations

Derek is the Director of Operations for ServiceMaster Restore of Vancouver and has been with the organization since 2014.  As a seasoned professional with over 20 years of restoration and construction experience, Derek is known for driving operational excellence. He is skilled at developing long-term operational strategies and ensuring that efficient workflows are in place that will yield optimal productivity and performance. Derek brings a wealth of hands-on experience, particularly in drywall and finish carpentry.

Duane has 27 years of restoration industry experience, 19 of which are as a Project Manager. Duane previously owned his own carpet and upholstery cleaning company for 20 years. He has also been a member of the volunteer fire department. He is highly experienced in the use of Xactimate for all size claims including commercial, residential and strata losses. His IICRC Certifications include Water Damage Restoration Technician, Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician, Applied Microbial Restoration Technician and Upholstery and Fabric Cleaning Technician.

Brandon began his career in the restoration industry 10 years ago working closely in insurance claim restoration and new construction. Upon completing his degree at SFU in 2012, Brandon joined the ServiceMaster team as a Project Coordinator under one of ServiceMaster’s Senior Project Managers. While working and mentoring under the Senior Project Manager, Brandon grew his skills and experience dealing with restoration claims on a daily basis including but not limited to proficiency in Xactimate, water loss claims, large loss and commercial building claims. Brandon began his career as a Project Manager with ServiceMaster in 2012. His IICRC certifications include Water Damage Restoration Technician.

Matt Van Brunt

Project Manager - Large Loss

Matt joined ServiceMaster in early 2015 as a Coordinator to oversee large loss projects and was so successful in managing these projects that he has taken the role of Large Loss Project Manager. Matt has 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, four years of which he was a large loss building consultant with SPECS Ltd. Matt is proficient in Xactimate, RSMeans, BVS and has extensive experience in administering CCDC contracts, project scheduling, cost tracking, estimating and budgeting. His certifications include: Certified Personal Property Appraiser (CPPA)

Calvin began his career as a claims adjuster, after which he gained 10 years’ experience in the disaster restoration industry prior to joining ServiceMaster in 2011. Calvin is fluent in Cantonese and proficient in Xactimate. He has a considerable depth of experience with residential, commercial and strata losses. His IICRC Certifications include Water Damage Restoration Technician, Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician, Applied Structural Drying Technician, Carpet Cleaning Technician and Upholstery and Fabric Cleaning Technician.

Project Manager

Ryan started his career in restoration in 2010 as a water technician and then moved into a supervisor role with our emergency department. Prior to joining ServiceMaster Ryan worked in a claims call center where he gained valuable knowledge in claims handling and understanding policy wordings. He has obtained the IICRC WRT, FSRT, Oct, and CCT certificates that have aided him in understanding and dealing with all type of restoration issues. Ryan also brings with him his second language skills to help customers who speak Cantonese.

Tyler's career began in the renovation/construction industry through his family at a young age. Tyler previously owned and operated an interior renovation company for 5 years before transitioning to property restoration industry. He has extensive hands-on experience with application of tools and organizing trades on job sites. Tyler has grown his skills and knowledge as a site supervisor at ServiceMaster dealing with water, fire and wind loss claims. His main focus is customer service and communication. His IICRC certifications include Water Damage Restoration Technician.

Daniel joined Service Master in 2012 as a fire and flood technician and shortly later he became a Project Manager. What made Daniel and ideal candidate to become a Project Manager was his experience in construction gaining the valuable knowledge to understand foundation to roof restoration. His IICRC certifications include Water Damage Restoration Technician, Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician, Applied Structural Drying Technician. Daniel is fluent in Mandarin and understands Cantonese.

Project Manager

Alberto started his career in the disaster restoration industry seven years ago. He excelled in departments such as emergency and construction, demonstrating leadership qualities, work ethic and efficiency. With his attention to detail and construction knowledge, he moved into a senior estimator role. In 2016, he decided to take the next step in his career and accepted a project manager position. He is highly experienced in Xactimate and has taken three Xactimate training courses. During his time as a project manager, Alberto has proven to have exceptional customer service as he knows communication is key to running an efficient and smooth claim.

Site Supervisor

Kevin started his career by helping out his father since he was young, on small interior home renovations projects. He gained valuable hands on experience part time, and eventually started a small business with his brother specializing in flooring installations. He gradually expanded his company and transitioned into doing restoration repairs before starting his employment at ServiceMaster Restoration as a site supervisor. He aspires to add value to the industry by maximizing the latest technologies and systems to streamline the insurance claims process, creating a better experience for insureds, and optimal efficiency for insurers.

Coming from a background of 10 years in Live Event Production Management, Elise is fairly new to the restoration industry. The fast pace and ever-challenging environment are what drew her in, and she first joined the team at ServiceMaster 3 years ago as a scheduler, dispatching crews for the Emergency and Construction departments. Excelling in these roles, Elise was offered the opportunity to move into the role of Site Supervisor to further develop her skills and career in restoration. Her IICRC certifications include Water Damage Restoration Technician.

Layne began his estimator career in the restoration industry 9 years ago, upon completing his degree at BCIT in 2012.  While working in insurance claims restoration, Layne has worked closely with project managers, adjusters and property appraisers alike, offering his expertise in reviewing and finalizing scopes and estimates, and determining best ways to improve on metrics of all insurance companies. Layne holds a Level 3 Xactimate certification.
